Comedy Night for Immigrant Rights is IIBA’s biggest annual fundraiser in support of immigrant communities. All event proceeds will go directly towards providing high quality and affordable legal services to immigrant families.

Performers

Aparna Nancherla

Aparna Nancherla started out doing comedy in her hometown of Washington D.C. and now resides in New York City. She is a series regular in Comedy Central’s “Corporate” and reprised her role in season 2 of HBO’s “Crashing”. Aparna is also featured in the second season of Netflix’s “The Standups” and other hit comedy shows.

Bassem Youssef

Bassem Youssef, dubbed the Jon Stewart of the Arab World, was the host of popular TV show Al-Bernameg – which was the first of its kind political satire show in the Middle East. Originally an online 5-minute show, Al-Bernameg became the most watched show in the history of Egyptian TV with an average of 40 million viewers every week. Bassem is the show’s MC and will attend the pre-show reception for Premiere ticket holders.

Jackie Kashian

Jackie Kashian has been doing standup for over 35 years. Last seen on the Late Late Show with James Corden, her new Special and album of the same title “Stay-Kashian” was #1 on Amazon, iTunes and debuted #3 on Billboard’s Comedy Chart. She also has two podcasts: “The Dork Forest” and “The Jackie and Laurie Show.”

Sheng Wang

Sheng Wang is a comedian, actor and writer originally from Houston, TX. His first Netflix special, “Sweet and Juicy” (produced/directed by Ali Wong) is streaming now. He was a featured stand-up on HBO’s “2 Dope Queens” special and also wrote for the ABC show “Fresh Off the Boat.

  1. Where is my ticket?
    You should have received an email with your ticket from tickets@boxoffice.presidiotheatre.org. If you are not able to find that email, or ordered “will call” tickets, the Presidio Theatre will be happy to print your tickets at the box office when you arrive.

  2. What and when is the Premiere Reception?
    Event sponsor guests and Premiere ticket holders are welcome to join IIBA and comedian Bassem Youssef at the pre-show reception located in the outdoor plaza from 5:30 PM to 6:45 PM! Please arrive no later than 6 PM to enjoy complimentary Turley wine, Lagunitas beer, “heavy” appetizers, and fun surprises. It may get cold so be sure to dress warmly in layers.   3. How do I get to the Presidio Theatre?
    The Presidio Theatre is located at 99 Moraga Ave in the Presidio of San Francisco (get directions). For transportation information, please visit their website. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early to find parking and get your wristband. Please note that it is NOT the movie theater on Chestnut Street.

  4. Is there parking available?
    Ample parking is available in the lot for the Main Post Parade Grounds, about 150 yards away from the Theatre, along with various other street parking options nearby. There are multiple accessible parking spots adjacent to the building.

  5. Is my ticket for Premiere or General Admission?
    If you purchased a $200 ticket or are a guest of an event sponsor, then you have a Premiere ticket. If your seat is in Rows L-X, then you have a General Admission ticket. For questions or seat change requests, please reach out to the Presidio Theatre Box Office at 415-960-3949.

  6. What are the COVID safety protocols?
    For the health and safety of all of our guests, we ask that you are fully vaccinated to attend the event. Masks are not required but encouraged. If you feel unwell, experience flu-like symptoms, or have been exposed to someone who recently tested positive for COVID, please DO NOT attend the event. If you are no longer able to attend, you are welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else (please contact the Presidio Theatre Box Office at 415-960-3949 for assistance).

  7. What is the dress code?
    We suggest business casual. Be sure to dress warmly in layers as it may get cold in the Presidio.
