“My dream of becoming the first U.S. citizen in my family would not have come true without IIBA’s help,” says IIBA client Maria Luna.
Maria returned to the citizenship class this past Tuesday to thank the staff and volunteers and celebrate with her classmates. “Anthony and Dannhae, IIBA staff, assisted me throughout the whole process. Dannhae would call me and make sure I received all receipts and appointment notices from immigration, and Anthony was a great citizenship instructor,” says Maria.
Through her accomplishment, Maria not only has earned full access to all the benefits of citizenship for herself, but she has also paved the way for her son. “Now that I have my citizenship, my son is eligible to become a U.S. citizen.” Asked what she would tell someone in need of immigration services, Maria says, “I would fully endorse IIBA to anyone in need of support and help to make their dreams come true.”
